Tame Your Inner Critic

"I am not good enough."
Does it sound familiar?

You are trying your best, but it is not enough.

You try your best to meet everyone’s expectations. Your parents, spouses/partners, bosses, friends, children. But no matter how hard you try, you just seem to fall short.

You judge yourself, wishing you are stronger, smarter, kinder, etc. Sometimes you may also feel resentful, wishing they understand and appreciate how hard you are trying. You question if your feelings are valid, if you are selfish for having such needs.

You don’t like this version of yourself. But you don’t know how things could be different. You are exhausted. You feel stuck.

You have learned that you are not good enough.

The thing is, you likely have learned somewhere in your life that you are not good enough. You learn that you need to meet others’ expectations (or even your own expectations) to be worthy and accepted, even if these expectations are impossible.

This is especially true if you have lived with any marginalized identities or have experienced trauma. After all, you have been constantly asked to prove yourself and have been hurt.

How I Can Help

I will help you understand how your inner critic develops, unlearn these critical voices, and find more compassionate ways of relating to and improving yourself.

I will help you learn how to communicate your needs, set boundaries with the people in your life, control what you could, and let go of what you couldn’t.

I will help you reclaim your strengths and validate your needs and feelings, so you can finally stop criticizing yourself and believe you are worthy & good enough.
